Why operations turn into firefighting
Work passes between teams and gets stuck at the handoff. Nobody owns the number that went red. A step was added after an incident three years ago, and nobody remembers why. The operations manager spends the day answering "where is it" and "who decides". The job is to build a system where these questions have an answer without you.
What changes after this course
Processes are mapped and prioritized. Each metric has an owner and an action. You know where the bottleneck is and what it costs. Teams have a weekly rhythm and an escalation rule. Changes go through a procedure. The tools are chosen by a matrix and not by a demo. And you can show your own value to the business in a report.
What is inside: 405 tools, counted lecture by lecture
You do not have to take this number on trust. Open any lecture and read its description: every tool inside is listed there by name.

What this course is not
It is not a certification programme. You receive the Udemy Certificate of Completion and a working toolkit.
Who is teaching
I am Mike, the #1 HR instructor on Udemy, with 1,800,000+ course enrollments from 170,000 students, and the author of about 200 books on Amazon. I built the people system at Preply as it became a unicorn and worked at Wargaming, iDeals and Alfa-Bank across 20 years in HR. I hold PHRi, SHRM-CP and HCI sHRBP certifications and represent HRCI in Eastern Europe. I am also a founder and lead the strategy of my own academy.
I have looked at processes the way an operations manager does. At the STB TV channel the security service checked every new employee, and this could delay a hire by up to two weeks. We analyzed the process and saw that for most hires there was no risk even if we took the wrong person. We agreed to hire first and check in full only those with access to money or assets. The loss from slow hiring was much bigger than the loss from a wrong hire. Another time I collected all hiring needs and saw that with five recruiters we would close them in three years. I brought the board scenarios: change nothing and wait three years, or hire fifteen recruiters and close everything in a couple of months. We agreed on ten at once and five more if needed.
